This is the first piece in my nature series. I am currently working on this project and plan to have many other drawings of nature when I'm finished.

My social injustice project is centered around feminism and the social construct of how females should dress and act. This piece is a series that I continue to work on. As I go forward with this project I plan to keep the focus on ways women are shamed in our society and ways we can break through that wall and be independent, strong, and intelligent woman. As a society I feel that everyone should be respected no matter their gender. Through this series I want to show just how important equality and feminism is. I feel that with a little inspiration and a lot of woman power we can overcome this problem.
Art evaluation for preparatory work: 1. The theme for my project was gender equality and society views on this subject. 2. I developed my ideas by looking through different magazines and finding images and quotes that sparked inspiration. My work changed through this project by finding that this was more of a work of art rather than an art series. 3. I found lots of reference materials since I was looking through magazines. I was able to find what I was looking for through use of the internet and magazines that I was provided. 4. I looked at many strong females who play a big part in changing the way society views woman. As I mentioned before I also used magazine paper as the medium and the references. 5. One of the biggest inspirations I found is Malala Yousafzai, who is an advocate for Women's education. 6. My skills have developed throughout this project by helping me have a better understanding of social injustice involving woman and their rights. 7. I think I did well with really thinking through what I wanted my piece to look like and then being able to find the right materials. Overall I feel pretty good about my finished piece. 8. I feel that I could have gone deeper with exploring more inspirational people and artists. Evaluating my final piece: 1. I used line in this piece by ripping sections out of a magazine to make organic lines. I used color by adding a black and white page to add some difference between the different pieces. 2. I used magazine paper and articles and pictures in the magazines. This did work successfully and I had a lot of fun making it. 3. I wanted to show the views of feminism through the eyes of society and as the piece moved along I started to show more ways we can break through of the idea that women have to hide to be respected. I do think I was successful at portraying this. 4. I am happy with my final piece I found a piece of artwork on the jealous curators page that i really enjoyed looking at. This piece spoke to me because i often like looking at nature and the colors in this painting really portray how i feel while with nature. I tend to feel more at piece and calm among nature.I also like the brushstrokes and texture of the painting. This method of painting gives calming and softer effects. This painting is done by jenny parsons.
